KONSTRUKSI NILAI BUDAYA KUDA RENGGONG PADA MASYARAKAT RANCAEKEK

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Rancaekek is one of the areas in Bandung Regency which has a variety of cultures. The culture that is still widely used by this community is renting a renggong horse as a form of entertainment to celebrate various thanksgiving such as weddings and circumcisions of their children. The purpose of the researchers researching this case is to find out how the cultural values ​​of the Renggong Horse are constructed in the Rancaekek community. By knowing what the construction of the renggong horse's cultural values ​​looks like, it is hoped that this will provide information that there are reasons why the community chooses to rent the renggong horse as one of their entertainment with the harmony of the existing cultural value constructions. This research uses a type of qualitative research through a case study approach where the research intends to describe and explain various aspects of the problem under study through interviews, observation and documentation of the Rancaekek community who have rented the renggong horse at their thanksgiving event, also through secondary data or data obtained based on literature study. namely reading and collecting data from several previous research literature and others. The results of this study indicate that there is a construction of the cultural values ​​of the renggong horse in the Rancaekek community, namely as a typical Sundanese representation of the region which has values ​​such as religious, aesthetic and also moral values ​​in it so that this is the interest of many people who choose this form of horse entertainment. Renggong is a celebration.

ABSTRAK

Rancaekek adalah salah satu daerah di Kabupaten Bandung yang mempunyai beragam budaya. Budaya yang masih banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat ini adalah menyewa kuda renggong sebagai bentuk hiburan untuk merayakan berbagai syukuran seperti pernikahan dan khitanan anaknya. Tujuan peneliti meneliti kasus ini adalah  untuk mengetahui bagaimana konstruksi nilai budaya Kuda Renggong pada masyarakat Rancaekek. Dengan mengetahui seperti apa konstruksi nilai budaya kuda renggong ini, maka diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi bahwa terdapat alasan masyarakat tersebut memilih untuk menyewa kuda renggong sebagai salah satu hiburannya dengan keterkaitan konstruksi nilai budaya yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi kasus dimana penelitiannya bermaksud menguraikan juga menjelaskan berbagai aspek tentang masalah yang diteliti melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi masyarakat Rancaekek yang pernah menyewa kuda renggong pada acara syukurannya, juga melalui data sekunder atau data yang diperoleh berdasarkan studi pustaka yaitu membaca dan mengumpulkan data dari beberapa literatur penelitian terdahulu dan lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat konstruksi nilai budaya kuda renggong pada masyarakat Rancaekek ini yaitu sebagai representasi khas sunda dari daerahnya yang mempunyai nilai-nilai seperti nilai religius, estetika dan juga nilai moral di dalamnya sehingga hal inilah yang menjadi ketertarikan banyaknya masyarakat tersebut memilih bentuk hiburan Kuda Renggong sebagai perayaannya.
