PENGARUH GAYA KOMUNIKASI KEPALA BAGIAN TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PRODUKSI GARMEN

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the influence of the department head’s communication style on the performance of garment production employees at PT. X Branch. A quantitative explanatory method was applied with 53 respondents. The research instrument was a structured questionnaire based on three dimensions of communication style (preciseness, attentiveness, openness) and four performance indicators (work quantity, work quality, attendance, cooperativeness). Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, and t-tests. The results showed that the department head’s communication style had a significant effect on employee performance (p-value 0.000 < 0.05) with a determination coefficient of 87.6%. The preciseness dimension was found to be the most dominant factor. These findings highlight the importance of clear, open, and responsive communication styles in enhancing employee productivity.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya komunikasi kepala bagian terhadap kinerja karyawan produksi garmen di PT. X di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatif dengan jumlah sampel 53 responden. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner berdasarkan tiga dimensi gaya komunikasi (preciseness, attentive, open) serta empat indikator kinerja (kuantitas kerja, kualitas kerja, kehadiran, kerjasama). Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linier sederhana, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya komunikasi kepala bagian berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (sig. 0,000 < 0,05) dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 87,6%. Dimensi preciseness merupakan faktor paling dominan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan gaya komunikasi yang jelas, terbuka, dan responsif dalam meningkatkan produktivitas kerja.
